Share the NEWS the Grinch will be in town!! December 10th Noon till 3 p.m. bring the family & kids up to meet The Grinch & his jolly Elf’s. Each kid will receive a stuffed animal provided to you by The Tri-City Empty Stocking Fund. Come on by and get your picture took while the Grinch is around in Lynch, Kentucky!

Join us for our 2nd Annual Charity Ride for Breast Cancer. The ride will take you thru some amazing backroads the Appalachia has to offer you! Raffles, wall signing and music will be at the Event! With all donations going to MCHC for the less fortunate women to help them to afford mammograms and etc!!

Appalachian Drive
Register at AppalachianDrive.Club for this great event! Start will begin at the Dragon Slayer Hwy 160 for Wall signing and pictures slaying the Dragon! The ride will slay 226 curves to reach Kentucky’s highest in elevation atop Black Mountain 4,145 feet. You will be able to pull on the over look for scenic pictures and then the ride plans to travel to Big Stone Gap, Virginia to have lunch at Curklins! Plan to see you there and dont forget to register!
Slaying 160
The Cars and Candy Foundation is partnering with Backroads of Appalachia to create an event for drivers that not only brings challenging roads, beautiful views of Kentucky and Virginia but also promotes tourism for the towns surrounding Hwy 160 offering 226 turns in 20 miles also known as the Dragon Slayer.
Appalachian Adventure
We choose Beautiful Appalachian highways traveling through distressed former coal towns to promote tourism. This town once boomed with 10,000 residents and now has less than 500. Come and adventure in these beautiful, scenic area and help support local businesses along the way. Many great trials in the area Black Diamond Targa, Dragon Slayer Hwy 160, Laiden’s Trial, Kingdom Come State Park and many many more!
70's Retro Bike Event
Time to dress up and rock out! We will have Bearcreek Catering the best food around. Raffles and a 70’s costume contest! The event will start 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Dragon Slayer Hwy 160. Dont miss out on the fun.

Travel to the highest peak of elevation in Kentucky with breathtaking views and day to relax and just enjoy the weekend rides. Many scenic rides include Hwy 160 to Appalachia, Little Shepard’s Trial and many more.

Come join the Bluegrass Appalachia Ride! Beautiful view, smooth winding roads and low traffic. Ride to Kentucky’s highest elevation on Black Mountain 4,145 feet with an overlook to pull off on and take scenic pictures!
Dragon Slayer 160 Kickoff
Between Kentucky and Virginia snakes the Dragon Slayer Hwy 160, a 20 mile destination ride with more than 226 curves, winding rodes with less traffic, breath taking views and the highest point in elevation atop Black Mountain 4,145 feet. Come slay the Dragon yourself!
Coal Ride Scavenger Hunt
Let’s start this year off with fun! Event will start at the Dragon Slayer Hwy 160 at 10 a.m. and will end at 4 p.m. We want you to explore and be able to enjoy yourself while you are in Appalachia’s Best Kept Secret. So get out there and take pictures of coal, coal mines etc and then submit your pictures to Dragon Slayer Hwy 160 and return to the welcome center to enter for the raffle, the Winner will be announced at 5 p.m. for some Appalachian Goodies! Hope to see everyone at the event to support your local Coal Miners!
Goldwing Crusin
Generation after Generation of Goldwing event! Ride over to Appalachia’s Best Kept Secret and take the scenic view 226 curves of nothing but pure adrenaline as you glide thru the cures to reach the highest elevation in Kentucky/Virgina! Music and food will be provided for the event, come on out and slay the curves of Dragon Slayer Hwy 160
